So it November here in Texas. And i have to say... I think its the best month for riding. There is no one else on the lake making waves and the wind is pretty calm...

Went out to the beach to hand out flyers for the camp. And did a lil winching..

So at the camp i was thinking it would be cool to have the kids doing a lil winching during the day. So today after work Me, Jose and Pipa did a lil winching to see how it would go.

Gearing Up For Mexico

So its 14 days till i load up my boat and all my gear and head down to Tampico, Mexico to teach the largest wakeboard camp in Mexico.

Im also going to try and organize a pool to pool rail jam at a country club that is in the city there.

Yankmeister Winch Co was out at Texas Ski Ranch for the 5th annaual "Freezride." Despite the 55 degree cloudy day and a north wind at 20 mph ppl made it out to the event. Including 2005 World Campion and Matters? Crew member Josh Rice. (Seen here sliding the Yankmeister curved up rail) Josh ended up finishing second in the pro cable division. Ryan Oefinger was also on site snapping pictures with his Canon Rebel.

Plans are still in the works for the Canyon Lake Pirate Trash Movie but the release date is going to be pushed back dew to Logans up coming back surgery on the 24th to remove a piece of herinated disk in S1 L5 disk. But no worries. Logan should be back to 100 percent in April.

And Ryan is feeling better. Still has a little bit of a limp but thinks he will be back on the water around Spring Break.

So Take it easy and do what MATTERS? to you!

Making Movie Magic In The Cold

The MATTERS? CREW was out on Canyon Lake today trying to get some footage for the upcoming film, despite the 50degree water and 55degree air.
Sammy brought out his x-9 and Trey brought out the Jet ski to do some chase filming. It started out with Trey taking a set and Ryan driving the Ski while Logan filmed. Then Sammy rode, Ryan drove, Trey on the ski, Logan still filming. Sammy layed down some sick runs. Including a wrapped ts back roll.

Logan then went out to do some "Extreme Jet Skiing"
And the day wrapped up with Ryan throwing some jigs trying to catch dinner.
Plans are starting to emerge for a few skits to be in the film and should be rather entertaining.

Injury Report

2009 seemed to be off to a good start with Logan winning 20 bucks off of "Master Asper" in a game of pool. But that notion was soon put to rest. On the 2nd of Jauuary the game warden Caught the crew out on the lake with a lack of PFDs. The crew could only produce 3 legal vest when they needed to have 7, thus a ticket for 124 dollars. And then on the 10th Ryan tore his Miniscus on a Ts 360.
But all is good and ryan is on the way to recovery. He under went surgery on the 21st. And is now resting and already walking around. Look to see him spending some time in the green room in a couple weeks.

Also Logan just got the results of his MRI. He has a herniated disk between his L5 and S1. And will be getting a steroid shot on monday the 26th, Along with Physical Therapy for the next 4 to 6 weeks.
But its all part of the game, as long as you're doing what matters to you thats all that MATTERS.

Why "CLPT" you might ask?

Well out on the lake we had a run in with what seemed to be some "pirates" rather shady individuals that seemed to follow us from one side to the other... Inspiration can come from anywhere...

Plans for this new movie include burried treasure, eye patches, peg legs, parrots, planks, black flags, the phrase "arrrrr", and maybe some of the rawest wakeboarding you have ever seen.

Arrr maties.... swab the decks and batton down the hatches.... Its gonna get crazy...
